Neglecting Your Health Costs You More Than You Think

Neglecting your health costs you more than you think

Here’s 3 worthy things to read about in regards to your health.

The coaches, trainers and therapists from the Markham Gym want to share with you what the 3 most important things are in order to start taking your health seriously.

These tips come from a concerned group of healthy experts who want to share something with you,

“Neglecting your health costs you more than you think.”

Some prospective clients come to The Markham Gym right after they get “surprising” or bad news from their doctor regarding their health.

It’s not like doctors make commissions from recommending their patients to go workout and exercise or join The Markham Gym.

In all seriousness, we’re glad that you and your doctor trust in fitness coaches to help you out of the situation.

Research shows that “poor health habits” can lead to serious consequences like chronic diseases, decreased quality of life, & increased medical expenses over time.

Doctors will also preach this 10 out of 10 times, so if you don’t exercise, move around daily, sleep well or eat well you will suffer for it later.

Here are 3 crucial things you must be doing in order to start taking your health seriously:

  1. Regular Exercise: You should try to get 30-45 minutes of movement, play or exercise everyday! At the least aim for 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week, such as brisk walking, swimming, or cycling. Exercise not only improves cardiovascular health but also helps maintain a healthy weight and reduces the risk of various diseases like diabetes & hypertension.
  2. Balanced Nutrition: Focus on a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.

Canada’s food guide isn’t a bad place to start. And as you advance, try adding more protein and veggies into your diet. Avoid excessive consumption of processed foods, sugary drinks, and high-fat snacks. For example, swapping sugary sodas for water or herbal teas can significantly reduce calorie intake and improve hydration.

  1. Routine Health Screenings: Schedule regular check-ups with your healthcare provider for preventive screenings and assessments. This can catch potential health issues early, allowing for timely intervention. For instance, routine blood pressure checks and cholesterol screenings can detect cardiovascular risks before they become serious.
